Description | **As of May 22, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** Items of work include removals, site preparation and grading, soil erosion measures, new concrete trails to provide Universally Accessible access to the park, reconstructed timber path, mobi-mat sections in portions of the pathway, aggregate parking areas, prefabricated vault toilet, pavilion, wood split rail fencing, parking area lighting, concrete sidewalk, concrete bumper blocks, beach grass planting and all related work. Bid alternate items include a full flush prefabricated restroom, drain field and well. Prospective Bidders may request the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Bids will be accepted only from Plan Holders of Record. In order to be a Plan Holder of Record, Bidding Documents must be obtained from the Issuing Office. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm and may examine the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described at the following locations: Fleis & VandenBrink Engineering, Inc., 603 Bay Street, First Floor, Traverse City, Michigan 49684 Village of Elberta Office, 151 Pearson Street, Elberta, MI 49628 Davis-Bacon Federal Wage rates are not required. Contractors performing work on the project must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act) and 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), as amended. The project is funded by Michigan DNR Trust Fund Program, relevant state and federal requirements apply. The contractor and all subcontractors must comply with all requirements of 1976 PA 453 (Elliott-Larsen Civil Rights Act), the 1976 PA 220 (Persons with Disabilities Civil Rights Act), and Executive Directive 219-09, as amended. In accordance with these laws, all contracts the Village enters into must contain a covenant by the contractor and any subcontractors not to discriminate against an employee or application for employment with respect to hire, tenure, terms, conditions, or privileges of employment, or a matter directly or indirectly related to employments, because of race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, height, weight, marital status, partisan considerations, or a disability or genetic information that is unrelated to the individuals ability to perform the duties of a particular job or position.
