Description

Sub Bid Deadline 6/15/22 Time 2:00 P.M. Replacement Paul Hanlon Elementary School. The project is a new two-story, 113,141 GSF elementary school on an existing school campus. The proposed school is located in the woodland behind the existing school. Ledge removal is required to level the build. The project is targeting Net Zero Ready with a low project EUI of 23. The building will be served with ground source heat pump with geothermal wells located below parking and roadways. The planned phasing is to construct the new school while the existing school is in operation. Safety and logistic will be very important for this project as the contractor need to maintain access to existing school and plan the construction schedule so to minimize disruption to existing operations. Contractors do Not need to be prequalified to submit bids for this project in the following categories of work: Elevators. The proposed project is located at 790 Gay Street, Westwood, MA and consists of the construction of a new elementary school building for grades K-5 for 560 students, parking lots, access roads and walkways, a soccer field, a little league baseball field, outdoor classroom, and a playground to support the new school building. The project also includes the demolition of the existing Hanlon Elementary School. The project is planned to be a Certified Green School through LEED certification process, and is on track to achieve a minimum of Silver certification and to be Net Zero Energy ready. SCH-23-C-001
