Description

This Project is Advertised on an Unrestricted Basis. The North American Industry Classification System (Naics) Code for This Project is 237130. This Project is a Request for Proposal (Rfp), Best Trade-off Selection Solicitation. This project includes installing a new 34.5KV tie circuit between the Tampa Electric Company (TECO) woned MacDill Avenue and Tanker Way gate substations to include step up/down transformers, switches and primary junctions. This will allow the new Tanker Way Gate switch and the existing MacDill Avenue 35MW switch to provide redundancy so that either substation shall be capable of carrying the entire base load. The project will also include construction of a new 15KV underground primary circuit from an existing switch near the Tanker Way Gate substation to a switch the entire length of the airfield away to provide a new redundant path to enhance resiliency to the base's existing electrical distribution system.
