Retrofit of Jail Security Slider Doors

Each proposal shall include a letter of transmittal which bears the signature of an authorized representative of the firm and 3 copies. Proposals may be delivered by express mail, regular mail, or in person. Faxed or E-mailed proposals are not acceptable. Rock Island County will not be responsible for late mail deliveries and no proposals will be accepted if received after the time stipulated in this RFP. The Rock Island County Sheriff's Office has chosen to issue this Request for Proposal (RFP) to seek a company(s) to perform a complete retrofit of all existing Security Slider Doors located within the Rock Island County Jail at 1317 3rd Ave. Rock Island, IL. The work would include the removal of the existing door opening mechanism, and replacement with a modern, workable, high security slider mechanism. The company will provide the engineering, equipment, installation, and training necessary to complete this work. The Rock Island County Jail currently contains 41 Folger Adam 2B Locking Devices, 2 manual sliders with 9 separate dayroom sliders, and the rest of the sliders divided into banks of eight. 3.
