RFQ D/B - Summit Park Tower Retrofit

This project mainly consist of safety enhancements to the observation level viewing deck, elevated paver system, and surrounding stair case areas. The project scope involves a new self-supporting frame at the Observation Deck level of the Tower within the existing perimeter of the existing glass guard. This frame is intended to create a virtually undefeatable containment boundary to better ensure the safety of all visitors to the Observation Deck. The frame and its associated infill material will sit directly on the platform framing of the deck level in order to eliminate the requirement for additional structural reinforcing to the deck framing. Project encompasses two main areas of scope: (1) Retrofit of Summit Park Tower Observation Deck to include metal frame containment apparatus, and (2) Stainless steel webnet infill on South, West, and North facades of the tower. Location- 4335 Glendale Milford Rd Blue Ash, OH 45242 A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code will be required at the RFP stage from Short Listed Firms. Bid Security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. It is the intent of the Owner that this project shall be completed no later than Friday, September 1, 2023 unless long lead materials or other factors dictate the completion date be extended and is agreed to by all parties. When the total overall project exceeds $75,000, all bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the City of Blue Ash, Ohio, as ascertained and determined by the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) as provided in Section 4115.05 through 4115.034 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. The Council of the City of Blue Ash, Ohio, reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids.
