Description

The Charleston Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) is a 78,000-square foot facility located at 3725 Rivers Avenue, Suite 2, North Charleston, South Carolina. As a provider of outpatient pharmaceutical services to twenty-two VA Medical Centers and associated community clinics, Charleston CMOP dispenses approximately 105,000 prescriptions daily for direct-to-patient-delivery by various mail carriers. Charleston CMOP operates two shifts, five days per week, and employs approximately 330 staff members. Charleston CMOP generates approximately 11-tons of non-hazardous, solid waste per week, of which approximately 50% is compressed cardboard, 40% paper, label, and plastic bottles, and 10% general trash from breakroom and bathroom areas. Charleston CMOP requires waste containers and hauling/disposal services. The service shall also provide cardboard recycling services with proper documentation of materials recycled and appropriate compensation at current market rates. The service may require hauling solid waste to multiple locations dependent upon the source of the waste.
