| Description | The Purpose of this Statement of Work is to enter into a contract with a qualified firm (or firms) to perform routine and periodic testing and inspections of elevators, escalators, dumbwaiters, and other vertical lift transportation equipment in accordance with the Safety Code for Elevators and Escalators, present edition American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) A 17.1-2004, (A17.1 Code). The USPS also requires the qualified firm to review plans for proposed installation of new equipment, and to perform acceptance tests on this equipment. | ||||
