Meadow Lane and Oakwood Lane Water Replacement

Any bids received after this time will be returned to the bidder unopened. SCOPE OF WORK to be performed under this improvement shall generally consist of replacing 58 water service lines from the main to new meter pits, milling 4-1/2" of existing asphalt and base and resurfacing with 3" of asphalt base and 1 1/2 " of asphalt surface course on Meadow and Oakwood Lanes in Trenton, Ohio. The Engineer's opinion of construction cost of the work is $706,289. THE ABOVE IMPROVEMENT shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with the Contract Documents. The City of Trenton reserves the right to add to or to subtract from the contract quantities. The City of Trenton also reserves the right to hold all proposals for thirty (30) days. Copies of the Bidding Documents may also be examined at the Dayton Builders Exchange and the Plan Room in Columbus. 1.5 EACH BIDDER is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond (100% of the Bid Amount) in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. 1.6 EACH BID PROPOSAL must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. 1.7 BIDDERS must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Butler County and the City of Trenton as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division, (614) 644-2239. 1.8 BIDS shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope identified as "Meadow Lane and Oakwood Lane Water Replacement" and MUST HAVE THE FULL NAME AND ADDRESS of the bidder on the envelope.
