Description | Due to permitting delays, this project is postponed until further notice. The Purisima Upland Demolition and Site Cleanup project consists of demolition and disposal of former oil production equipment and oil processing areas. Remediation will comprise of removal and disposal of aboveground storage tanks formerly used to store crude oil or water, oil production piping, oil processing facilities, and related structural components; an abandoned vehicle; and miscellaneous debris. The Contractor will remove limited amounts of petroleum-impacted soil from around storage tanks and stabilize disturbed soil areas within work areas. The Contractor will perform hazardous material abatement, demolish, and remove an 800 square foot wood framed cabin. Furnishing of all labor, materials and services required for the following designated scope of work. Total project cost has been estimated to be approximately $350,000, which includes general conditions, mobilization/demobilization, temporary controls, demolition and removal of all onsite structures, equipment, and materials related to prior oil well production, and site cleanup and restoration as fully described in the Bid Package. Award of Contract is anticipated to occur on September 11, 2019. On-site construction activities cannot commence prior to September 23, 2019, by which date Contractor must comply with all pre-construction submittal requirements. On-site construction activities are anticipated to take approximately 4 weeks. Project must be complete no later than October 31, 2019. Project Location :The Purisima Upland property is located on Verde Road, approximately 2 miles south of Half Moon Bay, in unincorporated San Mateo County. The Purisima Upland property is adjacent to the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (District) Purisima Creek Redwoods Preserve. The terrain consists of rolling hills, a mix of native and non-native trees, coastal brush, and grasslands.
