Description | All questions and clarifications regarding this RFP should be submitted only via email and directed to the citys purchasing department at purchasing@lawrenceks.org The City is seeking to contract with a qualified firm for professional services related to the planning and design renovations of the Lawrence City Hall building Deadline to Submit Questions Tue, March 28, 2023 For the Lawrence City Hall Reconfiguration project, Architecture/Engineering consultant shall provide services, including all civil, landscaping, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, to prepare schematic design, design development, final construction drawings and specifications in compliance with current local Building Codes, other applicable ordinances such as current ADA, and municipal, state and federal regulatory requirements. Additional disciplines will likely be required, such as security, lighting, sound, information technology consultants, furniture, fixtures, equipment planning, coordination, and recommendations, along with any other disciplines required to provide complete A/E design services for a ready-to-occupy office facility. These services shall be included in the consultants scope by either in-house specialists or sub-consultants. The City may consider LEED certification for this project. The Consultant shall facilitate a sustainability workshop led by a LEED-accredited professional on their team. The City requires an approach that considers energy efficiency, life cycle costs, best management practices, low-impact development, and other sustainable methods and techniques to be incorporated throughout the planning and design process. The City also asks for multiple options to be presented to City Stakeholders as part of the schematic design to develop the program and select the favored option. The presented options should have consideration for future growth and evaluation of the return on investment. The City may also ask the consultant to evaluate other facilities and buildings to be considered in the provided options. The consultant should be prepared to make a public presentation to the City Commission at each major phase of the design process to provide information and accept input and guidance. Consultant shall prepare budget estimates for each major design phase certifying that the design is within budget, and shall be responsible for design changes if the phase is not within budget. |
