Description | Estimated Bid Cost Range: $100,000.00 to $115,000.00 The existing water line along the covered walkway that connects multiple buildings is in poor condition and is scheduled to be replaced with a new 6" water line. An existing 4" water line running between the vocational building and the science building is the source of the distribution system. Two very large sequoias at the north end of the improvements must be protected along with two large cedar trees near the alignment. Connections to the vocational, science, applied arts, and admission center will be made from the new water line and will include gate valves. A portion of the service line for the vocational building will be installed inside the steam tunnel that extends to the science building. Temporary blow-offs will be installed at the north and south ends of the new line for future connections. Additionally, all Public Works Bid Openings will be conducted via live stream on YouTube. A link to the live stream for bid opening can be found above. Contractors and the public will not be allowed to stay to watch the bid opening in person. We will strive to begin bid opening live streams within thirty minutes of the bid closing and appreciate your patience as we deploy this new process.
