Common Force Main Sewer Extension Wood End Lane

The Contract consists principally of the following items of work: 1. Furnishing and installation of approximately 488 linear feet of new 2-inch diameter PVC Schedule 80 force main. 2. Furnishing and installation of one (1) cleanout sewer manhole. 3. Furnishing and installation of six (6) service connection force main curb boxes. 4. Furnishing and installation of six (6) 1 1/4 -inch diameter PVC Schedule 80 individual force mains. 5. Furnishing and installation of one (1) new gravity sewer manhole and approximately 30 linear feet of 8-inch diameter SDR-35 gravity sewer. 6. Abandoning of existing 6-inch gravity sewer pipe and connection. 7. Abandoning of existing force main from 11 Wood End Lane to manhole at the Locust Lane intersection. 8. Miscellaneous work including valves, fittings, test pits, and restoration work and all other work specified herein and as shown within the street right-of-way/property boundary on the Contract Plans. Each Bidder shall deposit with their bid submission, security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of their bid, as provided in the Information for Bidders. Each Bidder shall provide with their bid submission an executed Form of Surety Guaranty and the latest financial audit of their firm, reflecting the financial status of their firm no earlier than nine months prior to the receipt of bids, together with all the data required in the Contract Documents. The Village of Bronxville will award the Contract to the lowest responsible Bidder reserving, however, the right to reject all bids if they deem it to be in the public interest. Bidders shall familiarize themselves with the requirements of Article No. 28 (Substitutions) of the General Conditions as it pertains to the utilization of "approved equal" equipment or material. Bidders under this Contract shall follow, State guidelines for the minimum wage rates and conditions of employment. Bidders shall provide the non-collusive bidding certificate required by Section 103-d of the General Municipal Law of the State of New York. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended by Executive Order No. 11375.
