Area was affected by the fire disaster. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: Consultant to Procure Developer/Agency to Develop County Owned Land Located at 266 Dickenson St., Lahaina Hawaii The County of Maui, Department of Housing & Human Concerns - Housing Division (Housing Division), is seeking written input from interested qualified developers, non-profit organizations or service provider agencies for potential development and long-term lease of County owned property located at 266 Dickenson Street, Lahaina, Maui, Hawaii. The County's objectives are to use the site for housing activities in line with the needs identified in the Hawaii Housing Planning Study, examples include but are not necessarily limited to: workforce housing, a special needs project or program serving homeless persons or persons with mental or physical disabilities, or a clean and sober project program. The property is located within the National Historic Register District of Lahaina, and is subject to these requirements. Current zoning is D-1 (2 Family Duplex or 10 Adult dormitory). The Community Plan is multi-family, and State Land Use is Urban. It is within the Special Management Area (SMA) and identified as Public/Government use. The County is paying the current water tap fee which is metered. Submitting entities must provide a letter conveying interest in this project. The letter should specify the entity's experience in this type of project, examples of similar projects they have worked on, an estimate of how much time is anticipated on this project, and an estimate of the required budget to complete the project. The letter should also indicate whether the project will require additional government subsidies beyond lease of the site. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time |
