Description | Project includes Kitchen Renovation and General Upgrades of the Engine House including, but not limited to the following: (a) Salvage and re-use/re-mount any existing ceiling speakers. (b) Upgrade Electrical System and Distribution Equipment. Electrical installation to match current code requirements and subject to change based on field inspection. (c) Perform upgrade to HVAC Distribution System. HVAC installation to match current code requirements and subject to change based on field inspection. 1. Contractor is responsible for a 1-to-1 register replacement and making sure all diffusers and registers are connected to ducts in final installations. 2. Contractor to perform testing, balancing and commissioning of HVAC system. (d) Upgrade Plumbing System installation to match current code requirements and subject to change based on field inspection. (e) At project closeout, contractor will be responsible for the final HVAC Cleaning per industry standards. (f) Demo and dispose of all existing light fixtures where specified in the SOW. Furnish & Install new 2' x 4' recessed LED light fixtures, the GC is responsible for a 1-to-1 light fixture replacement. (g) Salvage for re-use/re-mount all wall hung items (i.e., artwork, pictures, white boards, etc.) prior to painting walls. (h) Furnish & Install paint on all walls, trim, and hard ceilings, as per paint schedule. (i) Furnish & Install metal finish paint to INTERIOR doors & frame, as per Door Schedule. (j) All kitchen equipment to be onsite and ready for installation before kitchen demolition occurs to minimize downtime. Salvage existing kitchen appliances for temporary kitchen set-up in location determined by DGS Project Manager. (k) Create wall barrier with plastic sheeting protection to seal-off construction areas from engine house operations. (l) Cover and seal-off existing apparatus bay doors and associated operating controls to protect during construction activity in this area. |
