Weston and Chestnut Hill Reservoirs Dam Instrumentation

The intent of the Work of this Contract is to rehabilitate and/or abandon existing earthen embankment instrumentation and install new instrumentation at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir Dam and Weston Reservoir Dam in accordance with the Plans and Specifications. The dams and appurtenant structures are maintained and operated by the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA or Authority). The Chestnut Hill Reservoir Dam located in Boston, Massachusetts and the Weston Reservoir Dam located and Weston, Massachusetts. The Chestnut Hill Reservoir Dam impounds the Chestnut Hill Reservoir and the Weston Reservoir Dam impounds the Weston Reservoir, backup drinking water supplies. Chestnut Hill Dam is located to the west of Cleveland Circle and is accessible from a public parking lot off Beacon Street. Weston Reservoir Dam is accessible from a locked gate off Newton Street. Weston Reservoir Dams Instrumentation Chestnut Hill and Weston Reservoir Dams Instrumentation (Piezometers) Installation The work includes: mobilization, drilling and casing to support installation of required instrumentation at the Chestnut Hill and Weston Reservoir Dams.
