New Chiller at Central Chiller Plant

WSSU is seeking mechanical/electrical/plumbing engineering design services for the addition of a minimum 1000-ton water cooled chiller and roof top cooling tower at the existing Central Chiller Plant at the Old Maintenance Building. The design will include all equipment, piping, controls and electrical. There will also be need for structural engineering included within the design team. Services shall include engineering design for condenser pump(s), chilled water pump(s), chiller system, cooling tower, electrical, plumbing, control systems including integration with existing systems, and connection to the existing Central Chiller Plant. Operational performance including sequencing shall be verified though commissioning. Coordination with Siemens on controls will be necessary. The Design Services scope includes verifying Owner’s preliminary programming/schematic plan, scope and budget analysis, site analysis, design studies, construction documents, bidding, construction administration, closeout, and related activities. The designer is responsible for obtaining all approvals from all applicable State Agencies, including the NC State Construction Office.
