UTK Hodges Library Rooms

Work will reconfigure and refresh rooms in Hodges Library. This work will touch various building components and building systems and improve existing infrastructure.Project Statement: Work will consist of demo closets 605A & 605B and a portion of the wall cavity to the right of the closets. Install mill work at 36” to match oak doors in the new cavity with storage and a white solid surface countertop with square edge. Add three outlets above the countertop. Install backing and outlets/data for TV above the millwork. Install new recessed lighting above the new millwork. Replace the current recessed and track lighting with brighter lights and paint the highlighted area.Demo the AV, wire molding, storage closet 252A, and VCT tiles. Construct new bulkhead and install recessed lighting. Install card swipe access at entrance. Install lockable upper and lower cabinets. Install white solid surface countertop and backsplash with square edge. Install faucet and sink with deep basin. Install rubber flooring. Install outlets and rough in network. Install backing for TV on articulating arm mount. Replace can lights with LED fixtures and replace dimmer switch. Patch and paint all walls, color TBD.
