Description

Tree Maintenance and Removal Services. The Borough of North Plainfield shall not be responsible for any bid mailed that is lost in transit or delivered late by the postal service or recognized overnight carrier or by a respective bidder or representative. Bids should be submitted in a SEALED ENVELOPE, addressed to the Borough Clerk, Borough of North Plainfield, 263 Somerset Street, North Plainfield, New Jersey 07060 and clearly marked on the outside "Tree Maintenance and Removal Services". Bidders Must Submit Bids for the Project as a Whole and Not for Its Individual Components. The Project as a Whole Consists of the "base Bid" for Tree Maintenance and Removal Services for the Borough of North Plainfield for Calendar Year 2023 and "alternate a" for the Project, Which Consists of Tree Maintenance and Removal Services for the Borough of North Plainfield for Calendar Year 2024, as Detailed in the Bid Documents. Failure to Submit Such a Bid (as a Whole) Will Be Deemed a Non-waivable Material Defect. After receipt of bids, no bids may be withdrawn within sixty (60) calendar days after the date of the bid opening, except as provided for herein. The bid of any Bidder who consents to an extension may be held for consideration for a longer period as may be agreed upon between bidder and the Borough of North Plainfield. Bidders must use and fully complete the Proposal and other forms within the Bid Documents and comply with ALL requirements attached therein. The Borough of North Plainfield reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, to waive immaterial informalities, or to accept any bid that, in the sole opinion of the Borough of North Plainfield, will be in its best interest, all in accordance with the New Jersey Local Public Contracts Law, N.J.S.A. 40A:11-1, et seq. In the event of an equal or tie bid, the Borough of North Plainfield shall award the bid to the bidder that, in the Borough's sole discretion, best serves its interest. The selected bidder or bidders will, within thirty (30) calendar days of the award of the bid, enter into a written Agreement with the Borough of North Plainfield for completion of the Project. The lowest responsible bidder will provide tree maintenance and removal services, as described in these specifications, for the Borough of North Plainfield for calendar year 2023. If the Borough of North Plainfield determines to include Alternate A as part of the Project, then the lowest responsible bidder will provide tree maintenance and removal services for the Borough of North Plainfield for calendar year 2024 as well
