| Description | The purpose of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified Contractors who can demonstrate their ability to accept, transfer, de-bag, haul, process and dispose of the Town of Brookhaven’s organic waste stream. The Town will offer up to two (2) acres, under a lease agreement with the Town at the Town Landfill Site located at 350 Horseblock Road, Yaphank to de-bag and store (no longer than two (2) months) yard waste prior to hauling. Under the lease agreement, the Town will allow the vendor to collect and pre-process up to 1,200 tons of non-contract vegetative organic waste (not land clearing debris) as part of the business model to provide an offset of costs to the Town. This procurement covers services for the period of January 1, 2022 through December 31, 2025 with three (3) one-year mutually agreed upon extension options. |
