Description | Bids shall be submitted for a single contract that will include the following: Project consists of demolition of one (1) existing gas-fired hot water boiler, two (2) heating water circulation pumps, one (1) heating only air handling unit (AHU), gas piping, heating water piping, flue piping, supply and return ductwork, electrical connections, transformer, and controls. Existing boiler will be replaced with two (2) new gas-fired, condensing boilers. Existing pumps will be replaced with new base mounted end suction pumps. Existing AHU will be replaced with new indoor AHU with hydronic heating and split direct expansion (DX) air cooled condensing unit for cooling. Existing piping and ductwork will be extended to serve new equipment. Condensing Units, Air Handling Units, Boilers, and Pumps have been pre-purchased by the Owner. Commencement of the Work on the project shall begin immediately after award of contract. TIME OF COMPLETION: The Bidder shall state on the Proposal Form the date the Bidder guarantees completion of the project. Project shall be completed by August 4, 2023 . BID FORM: Bids shall be submitted in duplicate on forms issued by the Architect. BID SECURITY: Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. WAGE RULES: Contractor agrees to comply with the provisions of the Davis-Bacon Act in force at the time of construction, regarding wages paid by it and by subcontractors used by it under this Project. The prevailing rate of wages are revised by the Department of Labor and are available on the Department's official website. |
