Description

The work to be performed under this Contract includes the furnishing of labor, tools, equipment and mate-rials for performing electrical main-tenance and repairs to the various electrical systems, equipment and/ or components of the Tacony-Palm-yra, Burlington-Bristol and other Commission owned movable and fixed bridges, major stationary or mobile equipment and facility buildings which are owned and/or operated by the Commission. At times, when called for, the work could be on an emergency basis. The Contractor must have available on two (2) hour notice any of the materials, tools, equipment and per-sonnel necessary to complete emergency tasks. During such emergency period, the Contractor could be required to work on a 24/7 basis. Typical items of work for which quantities are indicated are only an estimated guide and in no way reflect the actual usage of each item as all maintenance tasks are not defined at this time. However, there are six (6) specific lump sum work tasks included in this project. The one (1) year Contract shall commence on or about January 1, 2023 and conclude on September 30, 2023. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond drawn to the order of the Burlington County Bridge Commission for 10% of the bid, not to exceed $20,000. All Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.27 New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 Affirmative Action, N.J.S.A. 52:25-24.2 Statement of Corporate Ownership, N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq Public Works Contractor Registration Act and N.J.S.A. 52:32-44 New Jersey Business Registration Certification. Bidders must complete the Re-sponsible Contractor Certification form. Bidders shall complete a Bid Ques-tionnaire to summarize the Bidder's work completed within the past five (5) years of similar nature on struc-tures and equipment comparable to the Commission's facilities. Late bids will not be accepted or considered. The Burlington County Bridge Commission assumes no re-sponsibility for bids mailed or mis-directed in delivery. The Commissioners reserve the right to accept or reject any or all bids and waive any immaterial defects or informality in any bids or in the bidding in accordance with applicable law. Bidder must submit a sworn affidavit affirming that they or their auth-orized representative did inspect the project. Bids must be made on standard bid forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications; Bids must be enclosed in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the Bidder and solicitation identification on outside; addressed to the Burlington County Bridge Commission, 1300 Route 73 North, P.O. Box 6, Palmyra, New Jersey 08065-1090; Print format of the bid package, pursuant to the New Jersey Open Public Records Act established rates, is available at the Engineering Office of the Burlington County Bridge Commission, Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, Maintenance Buil-ding, 1325 Route 73 South, Palmyra, New Jersey 08065.
