Description

Pavement preservation project using a treatment known as pavement rejuvenation. As part of this project, all streets paved within Units 31, 32, 41, 42 and Eldron Boulevard will be rejuvenated. The rejuvenation will be applied using spraying operation to treat the pavement surface within a short period to allow the roadway to be open for traffic. The rejuvenation shall be plant-based or petroleum-based (maltenes) product application to preserve the asphalt pavement. The work shall consist of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, and preparation which includes cleaning existing streets and sweeping of any loose materials necessary for the application of a surface applied plant-based or petroleum-based penetrating asphalt rejuvenating agent to an existing asphalt pavement surface while maintaining safe surroundings for workers, the motoring public, and the environment for the primary purpose of slowing the oxidation, raveling and other damage caused to unprotected asphalt pavements. Additionally, the work will also include Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), traffic control and final clean-up of all streets. Attached are the original Unit 31, 32, 41, 42 and Eldron Blvd. Paving Plans which identifies the streets within each unit to be rejuvenated.
