Terminal Area Expansion Grading and Drainage Phase 1A

Project is the first phase of construction in support of the new Chattahoochee Tech Aviation Academy and approximately 1 mile of public roadways and 1 mile of public airport taxiways to provide for public access of over 20 acres of new airport General Aviation development. Project Phase 1A is to install 2150 Linear Feet of Roadway Drainage Structure covered to a minimum depth of 10 feet with approximately 60,000 cubic yards of unclassified fill. The site is previously cleared of trees larger than 5 inches and the project will involve clearing of small trees and grubbing. Fill dirt for cover may be taken from any location in the borrow pit with all resulting slopes cut to 3:1 or greater. A detention pond is to be constructed per erosion control drawings at the eastern limit of construction and left in place at the conclusion of the project. Existing tree stumps may be cut off within 6 inches of the top of ground and the roots buried in place with minimal ground disturbance. The project will also include grassing and erosion control.
