Rockledge Irrigation Replacement - Town of West Hartford

Rockledge Golf Course irrigation system was originally installed in 1981 with a 20-year lifespan. It is long overdue for a replacement. In order to protect the investment of the course, save money on repairs and water leaks, and increase efficiency, this replacement is required. The irrigation system is important to maintain quality golf; all greens, tees and most fairways are irrigated. Components include the irrigation ponds (fed by wells); a pump station, water distribution pipes, control valves, control lines (with controllers) and sprinkler heads. Irrigation complements fertilizer and Integrated Pest Management, allowing for judicious use and increased use of organic treatments. I As September 23, 2022, this project is currently in the FY 2023-2034 CIP. Funding for this project is allotted in the city's capital improvement plan for construction FY 2024-2025. A firm timeline has not been established; however, construction is scheduled for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
