| Description | Work shall consist of roof replacement on Kaufman Hall which has been broken out into two separate areas; Area A and B. Area A includes the removal and replacement of approximately 28,000 sf of existing built- up roofing (both granular and gravel) system and insulation down to the existing metal roof decking, to include associated work for metal flashing, roof drains, rooftop equipment, equipment curbs and the certification of existing lightning protection system. Area B includes the removal and replacement of approximately 5,706 square feet of existing PVC roof membrane system that was partially completed. The work in Area B also includes replacement of the existing building expansion joint, wall and curb flashings, removal and re-installation of some existing and new mechanical equipment, PVC and metal flashings, removal and re-installation of metal coping, roof drains rework, walk pads, miscellaneous metal work and painting, as well as repairs and certification of existing lightning protection system. Once all the roof work the contractor must provide a full NDL 20-year roof warranty for entire building roof area. |
