North Washington Street and East Marion Street Sidewalk Project

This project consists of one section of sidewalk along North Washington Street between East Sumter Street and Suttle Street and another section of sidewalk near 217 East Marion Street The goal of this project is to remove and replace existing sidewalks as indicated on the attached site plans. Listed below are the contractor's responsibilities for this project. North Washington Street sidewalk: - Remove and replace approximately 340 linear feet of 6” thick sidewalk with welded wire per the attached North Washington Street. site plan. Sidewalk is 5 feet wide for approximately 80 feet and is approximately 7.5 feet wide for approximately 160 feet and 7 feet wide for approximately 100 feet. - Install 0.5” expansion joint along backside of existing curb in locations where new sidewalk abuts existing curb. - Install 2 ADA compliant ramps with inset ADA dome mats (black in color) at the intersection of Suttle Street. as shown on the attached plan. - Install 1 ADA compliant ramp with inset ADA dome mat (black in color at Marietta St. crosswalk as shown on the attached plan. East Marion Street sidewalk: - Install approximately 908 square feet of 6” thick sidewalk with welded wire per the attached E. Marion St. site plan. - Install 0.5” expansion joint along backside of existing curb in locations where new sidewalk abuts existing curb.
