Sand Creek Trail Crossing at Hancock

Construct a signalized crossing for the Sand Creek Trail, where the trail crosses Hancock Expressway. This project will also be constructing a portion of new concrete trail along the Sand Creek Trail Corridor to the north of the proposed signalized crossing. This project is a cooperative effort between Traffic Engineering, Storm water Enterprise and PRCS. The work to be done by the Contractor shall consist of work associated with the installation of a new signalized trail crossing. The work includes, but is not necessarily be limited to, removal and replacement of sidewalks, removal and installation of new concrete trail, street crosspans, pedestrian ramps, curb and gutter, patterned concrete; addition and modification of drainage structures; asphalt patching; and installation of signal equipment to include electrical conduit and wires to power the proposed signals. This work shall include restoration of all areas disturbed by the construction activities to a condition equal to or better than the pre-construction condition, and the protection or replacement of fencing, retaining walls, landscaping, removal of obstructions, minor utility relocation and/or adjustment, grading, soil scarification, moisture control and backfill & compaction. This work shall also include the disposal of surplus or waste materials and traffic control/ barricading required for this work. The Contractor shall obtain all permits and furnish all transportation, materials, tools, equipment, labor and supplies necessary to complete in a workmanlike manner the improvements as shown and specified in these documents prepared by Felsburg, Holt & Ullevig for PRCS.
