| Description | Construct a micro surfacing pavement with the type of mixture specified in the Contract Documents. Micro surfacing is a mixture of polymer-modified emulsiied asphalt, mineral aggregate, mineral iller, water, and other additives, properly proportioned, mixed and spread on a paved surface. The mix shall be capable of being spread in variable thickness cross-sections (wedges, ruts,scratch courses and surfaces) which, ater curing and initial trafic consolidation, resists compaction throughout the entire design tolerance range of asphalt binder content and variable thickness to be encountered. The end product shall maintain a skid-resistant surface in variable thick sections throughout the service life of the micro surfacing. | ||||||
