Description | REQUIREMENT The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and supervision necessary to perform various electrical task orders which may include, but are not limited to the following: Testing and repairing to include replacing medium voltage and low voltage electrical distribution equipment against national testing standards such as International Electrical Testing Association (NETA). Such items are as follows but not limited to: Medium voltage cables Medium voltage electrical distribution equipment (circuit breakers, load interrupter, switchgear switches, transfer switches, transformers, and protective relaying) Spot network protectors Metering equipment Low Voltage equipment, including: Transformers Cabling Over current protection devices Panel boards, switchgear, service entry equipment Transfer switches Uninterruptible power sources (UPS) Generators Motors and pumps Cleaning electrical equipment Cleaning electrical equipment. All work must be performed in accordance with industry, NIST, and OSHA standards, The National Electric Code (NFPA 70, current edition), NFPA 70E, Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace, (current edition), and National Electric Safety Code (current edition). Most tasks will be performed in and around occupied areas performing scientific/research experiments where vibration, noise, outages of utilities, and disturbances to the physical environment may hinder the ability of the Government to perform required activities. All activities must be planned, scheduled and posted for a minimum of two weeks, unless prior authorization is given by the CO, prior to the activity beginning. Certain activities may have to be performed outside of normal business hours. In this event, overtime rates may be applicable. |
