Description | The Project provides for roadway improvements on W Avenue F, Kirby Avenue, Cherry Street, W Avenue P, Chance Avenue, Outlaw Avenue and Durdin Drive, totally approximately 5,600 linear feet. Bids are for several items and quantity of work as follows: Mill existing asphalt pavement (haul to site within City) Pulverize, re-shape and re-compact existing pavement Provide cement treatment of pulver-mixed pavement Placement of 4" limestone base Prime coat application Placement of 2" HMAC surface Construction of driveway turnouts Backfilling of pavement edges Placement of pavement markings Final site cleanup The deadline to ask questions is 6/15/2023 5:00 PM CST Complete sets of Bidding Documents shall be used in preparing Bids; neither Owner nor Engineer assumes any responsibility for errors or misinterpretations resulting from the use of incomplete sets of Bidding Documents. Owner and Engineer, in making copies of Bidding Documents available on the above terms, do so only for the purpose of obtaining Bids for the Work and do not confer a license or grant for any other purpose. Bid Security, only in the form of: 1) a certified or cashier's check drawn on a Texas bank and made payable to the City of Silsbee; or 2) a bond executed by a surety company authorized to do business in Texas, in the amount of not less than five (5%) percent of the total bid, must accompany each bid at the time it is submitted. Bids must be submitted on the form shown in the Contract Documents. A Contractor Qualification Statement must also accompany each bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, age or national origin. In addition to other Federal and State provisions required, all contracts must address, if applicable, any contract provisions provided in Exhibit B. This IFB and the subsequent contract will be subject to the same ARPA Terms and Conditions the Recipient must comply with and the awarded bidder understands and agrees that the funds disbursed under this award may only be used in compliance with section 603(c) of the Social Security Act (the Act), Treasury's regulations implementing that section, and guidance issued by Treasury regarding the foregoing. All Contractors/Subcontractors whose "System for Award Management" (SAM.gov) registration is not active may not undertake any activity in part or in full under this project. City of Silsbee reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by City of Silsbee for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. Upon award, the successful bidder will be required to furnish payment and performance bonds. |
