This agreement is for emergency situations for work that the City of Attleboro Water Department crew cannot handle for some reason The intent is not to use this bid as a replacement for the regular crew, but rather to be able to have an emergency contractor on call should it ever be needed. Bidders must be experienced in, but not limited to, the installation of water piping and valves of various sizes, types and manufacturers and related work in the City's various treatment plants, pump stations, and street utility infrastructure. The City of Attleboro, Massachusetts, acting by and through its Purchasing Department, invites sealed bids for "General Water Construction Services Price Agreement". This agreement is to be a one-year contract with the option to renew the contract for two additional one-year periods as described in the "Scope of Work" on page 2 of the bid documents. All prices are to remain firm for each one year period. One month before the end of each contract year, the contractor shall provide a revised price list for City review. The City has the option to accept or reject that proposal. This option to renew is exercisable solely at the City's discretion. All bidders shall furnish with their Bid a bid guarantee in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer's check, or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company, in the amount of 5% of the total amount of the bid and made payable to the City of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Wages are subject to Massachusetts minimum wage rates as per M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 26 to 27D inclusive. The City of Attleboro reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids or to accept any bid which in their opinion, is in the public interest to do so.
