Description

This contract covers, but is not limited to, furnish and installation of new elevators for three (3) MetroNorth Stations on the Harlem Line: Hartsdale Station, Scarsdale Station, and Purdy’s Station. The scope of work at Hartsdale Station, located at Hartsdale, NY includes the following: Furnish and install two (2) new ADA elevators and all necessary components and equipment, including two (2) new enclosed elevator towers located on each platform side serving street level to platform level and overpass level. Install new elevator machine rooms to house equipment adjacent to elevators. Construct new ADA sidewalks from each elevator at street level. Construct an elevated walkway connecting the elevator tower to the existing overpass level. Install new benches, leaning bars, LED lighting and heaters to the existing overpass. The Contractor shall coordinate with Con Edison for the upgraded power as well as perform all additional electrical scope related to the elevators and existing overpass scope. The scope of work at Scarsdale Station, located at Scarsdale, NY include the following: Furnish and install one (1) new ADA elevator, all necessary components and equipment, including one (1) new enclosed elevator tower serving street level, platform level and overpass level on the inbound platform side. Install one (1) elevator machine room to house equipment adjacent to elevator. Construct new ADA sidewalk from the elevator at street level. Raise (or jack) the existing passenger overpass structure and stair/stair enclosure structure to the inbound platform side by 7 inches to meet the required height from top of rail. Demolish existing communications CCTV bungalow on the inbound platform side and construct a new communications room adjacent to the elevator machine room for the relocation of the CCTV equipment. Repair/replace the connected utilities affected by relocation. Install new benches, leaning bars, new LED lighting and heaters to the existing overpass. Construct walkway connecting platform from elevator platform level landing to station platform and overpass. Construct motorcycle parking on street level. The scope of work at Purdy’s Station, located at Purdy’s, NY, includes the following: Demolish the existing staircase, supports and foundations. Furnish and install one (1) new ADA elevator, all necessary components and equipment, including one (1) new enclosed elevator tower serving parking lot level and roadway above level on the north end of the parking lot. Install one (1) elevator machine room to house equipment adjacent to elevator. Construct an ADA compliant pathway(sidewalk) from the new elevator to the existing station entrance including LED lighting, utility relocation and parking lot modifications. Modification of fencing on roadway above level (Route 116). Install, inspect, and maintain Best Management Practices for sediment and erosion control in accordance with the latest revision of the New York State Standard Standards and Specifications for Erosion and Sediment Control.
