Description | Proposals via PlanetBids will be received by the City of Reno. Said Proposal shall include all labor, tools, implements, machinery, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the work in the manner and time prescribed, and in strict conformity with the Contract Documents to the satisfaction of the City Engineer. The work will include debris and sediment removal from Whites Creek Flood Control Channel B, and the reconstruction of a low flow crossing sidewalk. In general, the major work items include: Debris and sediment removal from low flow channel to restore the low flow channel to the As-Built condition from the existing drop structure to the South Meadows Parkway reinforced box culvert (RCB). Work also includes debris and sediment removal from the entire channel width (i.e., the entire channel floodplain) to reestablish the channel geometry to the As-Built condition, extending from the preexisting pedestrian crossing to the South Meadows Parkway RCB. Placement of approximately 1152 square feet of 4-inch thick concrete pathway, and other miscellaneous work as outlined in the plans and specifications. See the attached "Whites Creek Pedestrian Crossing and Channel B Maintenance" Exhibits in Appendix A for approximate limits of debris and sediment removal and repair locations. Actual limits of debris and sediment removal and repair locations shall be determined in the field by the Engineer. The work will also include storm water pollution prevention measures, dewatering as necessary, disturbed landscaping replacement, and all miscellaneous and incidental work necessary to complete the project as specified and as directed by the City of Reno. The Bidders attention is directed to Nevada Revised Statutes 338.01165, enacted by the Nevada Legislature by passage of Senate Bill No. 207, setting forth the requirements for the use of apprentices on public works which requires a contractor or subcontractor to comply with certain requirements relating to the use of apprentices on public works. Only those bidders who have registered as a vendor and are included in and appear on the prospective bidders list may submit a bid. The contact person for this project is Sergio Gutierrez, Sr. Engineering Technician, with the City of Reno, and may be reached at (775) 785-5816, gutierrezs@reno.gov. |
