Description | This section provides the requirements for the replacement of a propane fueled generator for the Magic Mountain telecommunication site in the Angeles National Forest (ANF) in the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument (SGMNM). The contractor shall procure and deliver a new 22kW generator and furnish all labor, supplies and tools needed to install generator. The existing site already has a transfer switch and a non-functional 500-gallon propane tank in an existing concrete and an LPG 500-gallon tank. The existing tank shall be removed and hauled upon completion of the project. The contractor shall test the new equipment and verify that it turns on when power is disrupted. Generac 22kw generator or acceptable substitute which meets the product specifications identified in attachment "A01 1105424 Generac 22kw generator". The substitute will need to be approved by G. Jeremy Staggs prior to proposal submittal. 1. PART 1 - GENERAL 1.01 SCOPE This section provides the requirements for the replacement of a propane fueled generator for the Magic Mountain telecommunication site in the Angeles National Forest (ANF) in the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument (SGMNM). The contractor shall test the new equipment and verify that it turns on when power is disrupted. 1.02 Directions to the site and access to the site: Access will be based on available road conditions from National Forest System Road 4N37 or 3N17. Contracting Officer or designated representative will coordinate access to the site including issuance of keys to access locked gates. Approximate coordinates for the project site: 34.386341, -118.329264 1.03 PREVAILING WAGES: Service Contract Act shall apply to wages on this contract. 1.04 Contract Time: The work shall be completed as soon as possible after the notice to proceed. Contractor shall provide a schedule within 1 week of receiving the notice to proceed. 1.05 SAM REGISTRATION: Registration in SAM (System for Award Management) is required.
