Description | First Street Improvements (OPWC) Completion Date: November 4 Proposals must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the same and all persons interested therein. Each bidder is required to furnish with his proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. When the total overall project exceeds $28,789 all bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage rates on Public Improvements in Hamilton County and the Village of Addyston, Ohio, as ascertained and determined by the Administrator of the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) as provided in Section 4115.05 through 4115.034 of the Revised Code of the State of Ohio. It is anticipated that the Prevailing Wage Law will apply to this project. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123 is required. Domestic Steel Use Requirements as Specified in Section 153.011 of the Revised Code Apply to This Project. Copies of Section 153.011 of the Revised Code Can Be Obtained From the Office of the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission. The Council of the Village of Addyston, Ohio, reserves the right to waive irregularities and to reject any or all bids. The Council of the Village of Addyston shall authorize acceptance of the bid made by the responsible bidder who, in Council's judgment, offers the best and most responsive proposal to the Village, considering quality, service, performance record, and price; or Council may direct the rejection of all bids. The Village may award based on "functional equivalence" concerning specified work or products. SCOPE OF WORK In general. The following are the major construction items for the First Street Stabilization project: Install approximately 210 LF of drilled shaft pier wall consisting of 30" soldier piers and 36" diameter plug piers. Mill existing pavement full width to remove deteriorated asphalt surface (3") and placement of a 1-1/2" intermediate course in the asphalt resurfacing section. Perform pavement repairs as necessary. Remove existing pavement structure and the placement of aggregate base, asphalt base, and 1-1/2" intermediate course within the roadway reconstruction section. Curb and sidewalk removal and replacement where indicated Drive apron removal and replacement where indicated New storm sewer inlet, remove and replace existing inlets and catch basin(s) as needed.
