Description | Princeton is soliciting bids from companies interested in providing Solid Waste and Organics collection service throughout the borders of the Municipality for a period of five (5) years to commence on February 1, 2023. Bidders may submit questions in writing to the Municipality no later than 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. Bids may be submitted in person or by mail and they will be received at the Municipal Clerk's Office and publicly opened, examined and announced at the above designated date and time. No bids will be received after the above designated date and time. The Municipality assumes no responsibility for the loss or the non-delivery of any bid sent to it prior to the bid opening. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check or bid bond of an amount equal to at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid, but not to exceed $20,000.00, payable to the Municipality of Princeton and a Consent of Surety. The surety shall be bound to furnish a performance bond as required in the "Instructions to Bidders". Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27-1.1 et seq. Bidders shall also be required to comply with all other requirements as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. The Municipality intends to award this project to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid is responsive and complies with its requirements for same, provided that in the judgment of the Municipality it is reasonable, and within available funds of the Municipality. The Municipality reserves the right to consider the bids for sixty (60) days after receipt thereof, and further reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and make such awards or take action as may be in the best interest of Princeton and in accordance with applicable law. The Municipality of Princeton is soliciting Bid Proposals from companies interested in providing Solid Waste and Organics collection service throughout the borders of the Municipality. This bid is for a period of five (5) years to commence on February 1, 2023 and end on January 31, 2028 in accordance with the terms of these Bid Specifications and N.J.S.A. 40A: 11-1 et seq and any amendments thereto. |
