Clear Creek and Clear Lake Campground Habitat Restoration

The goal of this project is to remove trees in preparation for the Bureau of Reclamation constructing a new fish passage structure. Approximately 2 acres with .200 trees will be harvested, with and without root balls, removed from the harvest unit, and hauled to two locations for placement instream to enhance fish habitat and mitigate bank erosion. Root wad tipping will be preferred throughout the harvest area where conditions allow. Root wad tipping and removal will be required in approximately 1. acre or % of the harvest area (Shown in the appendix in Figure 3). Work done in the harvest unit shall have erosion control measures implemented to protect the site over inter/spring months. Project Location The project areas are located at Clear Lake Dam, Clear Lake South Campground, and. Clear Creek in the Okanogan Wenatchee National Forest in T13 R12 Sections 02 and 12.
