Repointing of all interior masonry at the clock tower level of the courthouse. This includes all 4 walls and the portions of wall above each clock face (only the portion not concealed by wood framing/decking). a. Mortar joints are to be cut to a minimum depth of 1/2 " and filled with Type N mortar and mason sand. The sand is to be local to the project to ensure a proper match to the previous repairs. Reference Section 040120 "Maintenance of Unit Masonry". b. Damaged bricks are to be replaced per the allowance/unit price. c. When working adjacent to one of the clock faces, 1-2 of the clock anchors may be removed at a time. The second group of 1-2 anchors may only be removed after the first group have been re-installed. At the completion of the work, the circular openings in the masonry at each of the 4 clocks are to be parged to create a smooth and uniform circular opening.
