Exterior Concrete Pavement and Stair Renovation Project at Various Schools

The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 Board of Education is accepting bids from concrete contractors for an exterior concrete pavement & stair renovation project at various schools in their school district in Geneva, Illinois. The scope of work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means of construction necessary for completion of the work indicated in the Bid Documents including, but not necessarily limited to, the following: concrete pavement replacement, concrete curb & gutter replacement, concrete curb cutting, concrete stair replacement, and sealants. The work sites are Geneva High School, 416 McKinley Avenue, Williamsburg Elementary School, 1812 Williamsburg Avenue, Heartland Elementary School, 3300 Heartland Drive, Fabyan Elementary School, 0S350 Grengs Lane, Geneva Middle School North, 1357 Viking Drive, and Geneva Middle School South, 1415 Viking Drive, all located in Geneva, IL 60134. Liquidated damages apply to the Substantial Completion date. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish construction performance and labor and material payment bonds in the full amount of the final Contract Sum. The Contractor shall not pay less than the prevailing rates of wages to all laborers, workmen, and mechanics performing work under this contract, and shall comply with the requirements of the Illinois Wages of Employees on Public Works Act (820 ILCS 130/1-12). The Contractor will be required to submit electronic copies of their certified payrolls with each application for payment using the Illinois Department of Labor's Prevailing Wage Portal. The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, reject nonconforming bids, reject conditional bids, waive irregularities in the bidding procedures, or to accept any bid that, in its sole opinion, best serves the interests of the School District.
