Description

The installation only of 10 new Bard Units at Thornwell Elementary on the second floor. The new units will be supplied by Darlington County School District. They will be delivered by the District to the schools where they are to be installed. The District will mark/tag the existing units that will be retained by the District. The contractor will put them in the designated area and the Maintenance Department will pick them up. The remaining units will be disposed of by the Contractor. Electrical: Add non-fused external disconnects to each unit, no splicing allowed between disconnect and unit. Some units may require the non-fused external disconnect to be moved over so it does not interfere with future maintenance on the units. Install flexible water tight conduit from external disconnect to unit. Thermostats will be reused. Thermostat wire must be continuous from thermostat to unit, no splices. If Bus Wire/Daisy Chain is run in unit, it must not be cut, must be reinstalled in new unit. Discharge air sensor is to be removed from old unit and reinstalled on the new unit. Mounting: Some mounting brackets may need to be slightly moved to accommodate the new units. All units must have silicone installed around the entire unit preventing any holes, cracks, etc. Clean the filter and supply and return grills before reconnecting duct work. All debris and old units (not marked/tagged by the District) must be cleaned up and disposed of by the Contractor, Safety precautions must be in place to protect students, staff and employees.
