2022 Field Maintenance Contract

To perform a wide range of maintenance projects on (10) of the city baseball/softball fields, including game and practice preparation at Rennicke Field, (4) baseball fields at Rotary Park, (3) baseball/softball fields at River Barn Park, and (2) baseball fields at Lemke Park. • Daily infield dragging, hand raking, chalking/painting, and base setting • Infield cleaning, rock, and debris removal as necessary • Minor grass repair/turf restoration as needed • Base and pitcher’s mound installation and maintenance • Infield drying/nail dragging/raking prior to games and practice as necessary • Prior to each game or practice, mound un-tarping • Minor fence/screen repair as needed • Beginning of the year installation and end of the year removal of batting cage • General complex cleaning and garbage pick-up after each game • Dugout maintenance/cleaning daily • Batter’s box repair and maintenance daily • Banner maintenance and installation throughout season • Minor mowing operations • Infield weed treatment as needed • Field Edging • Performs visual inspections daily of motorized equipment, checking oil levels, fueling, and alerting the Parks and Forestry Superintendent to any possible operation issues (if applicable) • Field lighting and scoreboard inspection once a week/prior to scheduled night games • Spring and Fall field preparation for opening and closing of the field • Works in conjunction with the Parks and Forestry Superintendent and crews to perform duties and responsibilities necessary for field maintenance and repair • Coordinates with Parks and Forestry Superintendent for supply needs
