Description | \The Department of Public Safety Standards and Training is seeking quotations for one (1) to replace existing Trane YHC120A4EZA1VC1C0AZA48000 D with a new, unused, Trane YSJ120A4SAH**C0C0A2A0, or equal. This project includes the replacement of the rooftop unit with delivery, installation, set-up, and startup, in addition to removal and disposal of old unit. Awarded contractor will be responsible to obtain all City of Salem permits required to perform the work and will coordinate any required inspections of said work. HVAC to be replaced is on the roof of DPSST Building E, a three-story dormitory building located at 4190 Aumsville Highway SE, Salem, OR 97317. Awarded contractor will be responsible to provide all necessary tools and equipment to complete the project. Agency intends to award one (1) Purchase Order for this solicitation. Agency may, at their sole discretion, elect to require criminal background checks for all vendor employees that will be on-site for the completion of this project. Agency representative will notify vendor representative of any employees that will not be allowed to perform on-site services under this solicitation due to findings of said background check. Selected vendor must be in good standing with the Oregon Commercial Contractors Board and will be required to submit a Certificate of Insurance Coverage with minimum coverage requirements as indicated in Attachment B. Agency does not anticipate this being a prevailing wage job as defined in ORS 279C.800-875. Any reference to brand names is meant as descriptive not restrictive. Alternate bids will be considered on products, which meet or exceed products indicated on quote. Vendor is to mark clearly alternate proposals. "OR EQUAL": Any brand name listed in the specifications as "or equal" or "or equivalent" shall establish the minimum requirements for quality, utility, durability, function, purpose, etc. Other product brands may be offered that are equal to or better than the product brand name. Bidder may show cost differences, alternates and options in the space provided in the quote. This clause is not meant to be restrictive, but to set the minimum standard. Agency shall determine, in its sole discretion, whether a product offered is "equal." When the designation is "or equal" or "equivalent" Agency shall make its decision after Bid Closing. Per ORS279B.070(4) If a contracting agency awards a contract, the contracting agency shall award the contract to the offeror whose quote or proposal will best serve the interests of the contracting agency, taking into account price as well as considerations including, but not limited to, experience, expertise, product functionality, suitability for a particular purpose and contractor responsibility under ORS279B.110. |
