Description

The project limit is the entire length of West William Street, beginning at the Comly Road intersection and ending at the terminus approximately 150 feet north of Pleasant Avenue. The project length is approximately 4,012 linear feet (0.76 miles). The scope of work includes, but is not limited to: resetting existing manholes; replacement of storm inlets and castings; replacement of storm drain pipes; replace damaged sidewalk, curbs, and aprons; removal and replacement of all curb drops to comply with latest ADA standards; asphalt milling and road resurfacing; replacement of traffic control signs; and, traffic striping. The main items of construction and approximate quantities include, but are not necessarily limited to: 22,000 square yards of asphalt milling; 3,150 tons of hot mixed asphalt surface course, two (2") inches thick, mix 9.5 M64; installation of thirty-three (33) precast concrete storm inlets including new castings; installation of 240 linear feet of 10" and 12" diameter HDPE storm drain pipe; 2,400 linear feet of concrete curbs; 1,000 square yards of Portland cement concrete sidewalks, four (4") inches thick; 325 square yards of concrete driveway aprons, six (6") inches thick with reinforcement; 120 square yards of concrete sidewalks, six (6") inches thick with reinforcement; and, installation of twenty-six (26) cast-iron ADA detectable warning surfaces.
