Venetian Pool Structural and Pool Bottom Renovation - City of Coral Gables

Projects include improvements to the concession stand, structural improvements to the pool bottom, pool pump replacement and enhancement, chlorination system installation, and many other improvements. This project is included in the city's 2023-2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of November 23, 2022, further details regarding design and construction have not been identified. ________________________________________________________ Repairs and renovation according to assessment to include: Repair of spalling in the vicinity of the door lintel level at the West side of the Southeast Tower, patching of window sill cracks in the Southeast Tower, repair of balcony slab spalling in the Southeast Tower, repair of deteriorated 2nd floor wood beams support at the Southeast Tower, loose steps at the stair of the Northwest Tower, repair of gable end wall cracks above the wood lintel at the East end of the loggia, repair of delaminated pool grottoes (new layer of concrete), patching of cracks at straight pool walls, repair of spalled concrete on sides of pool slab joints, patching/caulking of narrow to medium sized cracks throughout pool slab, repair of slab at main pool pit, repair of pool slab concrete spalling, full walkway repairs, full mooring post repair, repair of spalled concrete Venetian mooring posts, repair of concrete spalling and cracking in basement below pool's pump room, Historic Conservator services, Integrated Floor Coating system at pool basin slab, Integrated Wall Coating System at pool walls and grottoes. As of December 8, 2021, this project is included in the City of Coral Gables FY 2022-2026 CIP. Information regarding a design firm and the general contractor selection timeline has not been disclosed. Per the owner, construction is estimated to take place in July of 2022. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
