Description | The vendor will provide all labor, material and equipment to complete the asbestos abatement in the SCOPE OF WORK below. SCOPE OF WORK 1. Asbestos abatement - remove asbestos containing material (ACM) in piping wrap and floor tiles of Building 18. 2. REFERENCES: ASTI Project #NB938 Building 18 Report. 3. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 3.1. All permits, notifications, licenses, and inspections, if required, shall be secured by the vendor. 3.2. Set up containment and negative air machines. 3.3. Repair 9X9 ACM tiles at the transition by installing approximately 35 linear feet of rubber transitions over tile and concrete in the janitorial area of Building 18M. 3.4. Remove approximately 90 square feet of 9X9 ACM tiles and mastic in hallway of 18M. 3.5. Remove approximately 400 linear feet of ACM pipe wrap above the ceiling tiles in Building 18. Clean all pipes of leftover residue. Clean and HEPA vac daily to ensure no cross contamination of asbestos fibers accrue during abatement. 3.6. After pipe wrap abatement, ensure air samples are below 0.1% by weight and install new 2X4 ceiling tiles back in the abatement area. Dispose of contaminated ceiling tiles in the abatement area. 3.7. Remove approximately 15 linear feet of ACM pipe wrap in the conference room maintenance closet. 3.8. Properly dispose of all ACM and contaminated materials in accordance with local, state, and federal laws. 3.9. The vendor shall follow all applicable EPA and OSHA regulations. 3.10. The vendor and all its employees must maintain a valid KY asbestos accreditation. 3.11. The vendor can expect normal work hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Any work required on weekends shall be coordinated with and approved by Bluegrass Station. 4. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The period of performance shall commence at contract award and shall continue for sixty (60) consecutive days. Service Start : 1/30/2023 Service End : 3/30/2023 |
