Ada Improvements to Restrooms at Wichita Lot

1. Install restroom equipment: a. 3 new toilets (toilet seat measuring 17-19 inches above floor) b. 3 new toilet stall petitions with doors c. 6 stainless grab bars i. 2 in each stall ii. 1 at the rear of the stall iii. 1 to the side of the stall, if possible iv. 36 inches from the finished floor surface. d. 2 sinks - 34 inches from the floor with a knee clearance of 27 by 30 inches wide and 11 to 25 inches deep e. 2 soap dispensers - 39 inches above floor surface f. urinal in men’s restroom i. 17 inches above the finish floor surface ii. 13 1/2 inches deep minimum measured from the outer face of the urinal rim to the back of the fixture g. 2 touchless hand dryers - 40-48 inches above floor surface, and h. 2 stainless reflective mirrors - bottom of mirror 40 inches above floor surface. 2. Install 2 new intermittent exhaust fans, motion sensor controlled with backdraft damper. 3. Install 2 wall mounted electric heaters. 4. New LED lighting fixture in each restroom. 5. New flooring with skid proof surface, turned up edge at walls, such as acrylic flake with integral cove base. Maintain floor drains in both restrooms. 6. Install 1/ 120-volt GFI receptacle in each restroom (surface mount conduit okay). 7. Install new, lockable metal doors on each restroom comparable to existing doors. 8. Patch and paint all walls and ceiling with city selected color. 9. Install Federal ADA-compliant men’s and women’s accessible restrooms signs near entrance of each restroom. 10. Install ADA approved concrete or metal ramp at bathroom entrance. 11. One restroom must remain open to serve the public while the other restroom is being upgraded.
