Curb and Gutter Replacement - Various Locations

The proposed work consists of the removal and replacement of approximately 950 lie ear feet of curb and gutter on Woodland Drive and Hawthorn Estates Drive. Work consists of the removal of existing curb and gutter; construction of proposed curb and gutter, driveway pavement, pavement patching, and all other miscellaneous items as shown on the drawings. Bid Documents, including Contract Drawings and Specifications, are also available for examination at the Southern Illinois Builders Association, O'Fallon, Illinois and at the City of Salem City Hall. No less the prevailing rate of wages, as determined in accordance with the Illinois Prevailing Wage, shall be paid to all laborers, operators, teamsters, masons, plumbers, and any other workmen employed in the construction of this project. Each Bidder must deposit with its bid a security in the amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the Bidder's total bid price. Such security being an acceptable bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds or Letter of Credit in the full amount of the bid. No Bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the actual date of the opening The City of Salem, Illinois, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities or technicalities in the bidding.
