Description

1. The Village is looking for quotes for two (2) sections of sidewalk on Route 9 in the Village. a) 280’ on Rt. 9 from Intersection of Rt. 9/Cedar St. to 11165 Rt. 9 b) 382’ on Rt. 9 from 11165 Rt. 9 to Intersection of Rt. 9/ Church St. 2. All construction shall be with 4000 PSI concrete. 3. The thickness of the sidewalks shall be a minimum of four (4) inches. The sidewalks will be five (5) feet wide (ADA compliant.) 4. Expansion joint material shall be installed at twenty (20) foot intervals or every four (4) panels. Expansion joints shall also be installed on both sides of driveways. Control joint cuts every five (5) feet, saw cut. 5. All concrete surfaces shall receive a broom finish. 6. All edge and joint corners shall be finished with an appropriate edging tool. 7. All sidewalks shall be properly formed. 8. Contractors are fully responsible for barricading all construction areas to protect the public and are liable for any claims resulting from inadequate barricading. 9. Following installation and form removal, the contractor is responsible for filling voids left from excavation or form removal. 10. Wire mesh shall be either supported at one-half the slab depth prior to casting, or shall be raised into fresh concrete one-half the slab depth during casting. 11. The contractor is responsible for existing sidewalk removal and delivery to Village property. 12. The contractor is responsible for the final restoration including topsoil and seeding.
