Description

Question Submission Deadline: Submit Questions to: 2:00 PM E.S.T. on September 30, 2022 1409 Greenbrier Street Charleston, WV 25311 Fax: (304) 957-7622 Email: Philip.K.Farley@wv.gov (Email is the preferred method.) DESCRIPTION: A. The West Virginia Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR) is soliciting bids to establish a contract to purchase seventeen (17) security doors. Below is additional information and requirements that the vendor must meet: 1. The facility currently has existing doorframes, doors, and deadbolt locks of the following: a. Doorframe and door manufacture: Steelcraft b. Deadbolt manufacture: Sargent 2. Existing doorframes, new doors, and new locks: a. The existing doors that will be purchased in this contract must fit the existing doorframes. The existing doorframes will remain in place and will not be replaced. b. The new doors must fit the existing doorframes and existing hinge locations. Piano hinges will not be accepted. c. The existing door hinges must be replaced. The new door hinges must be of the same type as existing. Vendor must provide the new door hinges. The new door hinges will be installed by others. d. The existing doors will be removed, and the new doors will be installed by others. e. The existing locks on the hallways, office, and storage rooms will not be replaced. The existing locks will be removed from the existing doors and installed on the new doors by others. f. The existing locks on the shower doors will be removed and the new doors will be installed by others. The vendor must provide the new door locks. g. The vendor must provide an open are in the doors for a handcuff port. The handcuff ports will be provided and installed by others. Additional information is listed below. h. The vendor must provide new door closers for each of the new doors. Additional information is listed below. i. All doors that are located along a hallway or corridor must be forty five (45) minute fire rated doors. This includes doors A112, A225A, A225B, F232A, and F232B. BID BOND (Construction Only): Pursuant to the requirements contained , All Vendors submitting a bid on a construction project shall furnish a valid bid bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid protecting the State of West Virginia. The bid bond must be submitted with the bid. PERFORMANCE BOND: The apparent successful Vendor shall provide a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the contract. The performance bond must be received by the Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation prior to Contract award
