Description

The existing natural-gas emergency generator serving the Atwater Laboratory Building is beyond its expected service life and will be replaced with a new, dedicated, electrical circuit from the Cogeneration plant via Chemistry Building. The project will include following: - Demolition and removal of the existing natural gas generator and appurtenances, including exhaust fan and vents. - Installation of electric conduit and conductors from an existing panel in the Chemistry building to the Atwater Lab, including restoration of paving, curb and sidewalks after excavation. - Furnishing and installing new breakers in existing switchgear, as well as a new emergency transfer switch. - Restoration of disturbed areas of the Atwater Building.
